27th Sun of the Third Umbral Moon

“Wynn’s ramblings managed to actually— gods forbid— make me curious enough to seek out information on the subject of their most recent fancy. I called in a favour with a researcher friend who regularly hires me, and asked her to take me into the deeper parts of the Studium’s archives in order to find out about what this “non-aether aether” is. She was more than happy to oblige.
We were not able to find much… However, apparently said researcher has some connections in high places, and helped me “find” a way into the Forbidden Archives. There I found some well-hidden papers on the topic of an energy called dynamis. They were on the older side, and scattered between diagrams and whatnot of varying subjects. What I could gather from it is that it is a form of energy that is invisible to even the most gifted of magicians, and that it is something everyone has; it can even have an effect on emotion… Or vice versa, maybe?
Wynn managed a peek at the book and seemed adamant to commit the entire thing to memory, so I had to close the book before they decided to simply take it with them instead. I shudder to imagine what damage they could do to the Forbidden Archives with complete access.
Unfortunately, the research made me miss the charter I'd booked, so I had to buy a spare ticket for a civilian vessel. A couple that was recently engaged and on their way to their bonding ceremony— alongside about twenty of their closest friends and family members— were on the vessel. They refused to let me lurk in the back and live in peace, too, so I ended up 'joining' the party, congratulating people I did not know. By the end of the journey, they had given me an invitation to the event. I have no intention of going, though, as I'm still a day out from Quarrymill and have enough instructions that I'll likely be busy until the minute I depart. They were also kind of annoying.”
