Wynn's Diary!! Entry 5
Fyrne has taught me many things in my travels, and I have learned so many things about him! He is an interesting specimen— he appears to have a completely different structure from that of his peers. I watched them converse from inside of a mesh pouch in his backpack, and studied them as much as I could… they are full of this powerful and unmoving energy, compared to our passive-yet-constantly-changing kind. I have seen them use it to travel, to Attune to these things called Aethernet Shards, to do MAGIC!!! Yes, magic! It is just like how we make things, but with spells that go BOOM and set fire to everything nearby. I must study a magic user up close someday.
Fyrne appears to not understand what he is. I have tried to explain his construction, but his eyes get glossy and I can tell it is going over his head. I must find a way to explain it, but I have yet to see something similar to him anywhere in the outside world yet. Perhaps I will encourage him to visit the colony again so that I may explain.
His lack of aether seems to frustrate and disappoint him. He does not seem to understand that the world he lives in was not made for him… but ours is! He could be very happy with us.
We are seeing his family very soon! I am very excited to see if they will have any structural or compositional similarities. From what he says of them, they are also apparently very nice people and ones that can be trusted. Maybe one of them uses magic?
